I’m honored to have spent this afternoon at the Palos Verdes Arts Center with an amazing guide and fellow art lover, @gail.phinney. We began with a viewing of the current exhibit: Echiko Ohira’s “Works in Paper.” The pieces are breathtaking and articulate – If you can, go see it!
After a delicious lunch with nibbles of tri-tip tacos and great conversation, we ventured over to the Wayfarers (Glass) Chapel, constricted in 1951 by Lloyd Wright. Surrounded by pines and overlooking the rocky shore, it’s easy to feel the pulsing romance and absorbe the beauty of the property.
Oh, how I love a good field trip and today was one filled with art, history and bliss 🙂 Thank you again for your time, Gail! As I say so often, Time is one of our biggest assets and I’m so grateful to have shared this experience!

I found this little ditty in the school files my mum saved, all these years. 💚🌈💚 I’ve taken a crack at updating this 7th grade rhyming exercise, because now that I have content, it’s time to #levelup! on —>Editing:
There once was a man, lacking social graces
A poor detective, he was; in more than two places
“Now what’s this” he blinked, “Perhaps a cute little flee?” Well no siree…
It was actually a Bee!
Zap! Zap! The bites sunk deep
Since then, he no longer has cases
Nor can see, anyone else’s faces
10 years ago today, when I boarded a one-way flight from Albany, NY to Burbank, CA, the only #ramen I had experienced was out of a cellophane package. As I coasted down the jetway, I had no idea what was in store for me, but I had always wanted to live here and when that thick, hot breath, of Valley air hit my face, I knew I was home.
Thank you to this great place (LA and OC) for living up to my dreams and helping me cook up even more of them.
And to those amazing friends (local and far), for seeing me through light, dark and a kaleidoscope of experiences in-between.
Ten years later, though my curiosity is as fierce as ever, and my address/county has changed, I am also more in love with this grand area of #socal; of which, I proudly call home.

My office is an armory…
Chalked with inky weapons,
Ready to be plucked.
Battle cries from centuries,
Backing up the fight.
Lead by powerful creators;
Sizzle, percolate and swirl.
Relics still of relevance,
Graphite, ink, strings and lace.
Keeping the mind open…
About face – Awaken!
For the next written battle.

Through it all, I just finished my summer semester with a 4.0. Only two class and a senior project, left to go! OMFG, it took almost two decades, to get the BA – but what evs – huzzah! Thankful for all the support – it takes a village to get a kid through school #lol
When I was a kid, I wanted to be many things, “when I grew up” – today, I pay homage to the #fooddesigner phase.
NY Strip, seared in oil with a dash of salt. Set to rest five minutes, prior to plating
Topped with oven roasted white mushrooms, stuffed with chive cream cheese and garlic butter
Fluffy white loaf, lightly baked in garlic spread
Decorative green grapes and juicy blueberries (Suggest fresh parsley as garnish – perfect breath freshener!)
Check out this interview with @voyagelamag! Great working with them and honored to be interviewed! ✨🍭✨
Wash that sad, right outta my hair!
Move my arse; get a bit of sand… umm, everywhere! 😂
